Improved Archive & Import

Each year as the students move up a grade level, you need to archive last years students and reimport your students into Class Creator. Our new manage students tools make this even easier to do.

Ability to migrate tags & notes

We understand that tags often stay with a student from year to year so we have now added the option to migrate tags and notes from the previous year when importing students. Simply select which tags/notes you want to migrate when prompted during the import.

Ethnicity Import & Algorithm

Due to overwhelming requests for ethnicity consideration in the algorithm we have now created the OPTIONAL ability to:

  • Import Ethnicity
  • Add ethnicity in the surveys
  • Run a dedicated algorithm that spreads ethnicities while also making sure minorities are not isolated.
  • All of this is optional and does not need to be included if it’s not a factor for your school.

District Level Access

Most district leaders have already taken advantage of this new feature. It means if you oversee more than one account, you can have access with a single a login. Email us if you require access to more than one account.

Easier Sharing of Created Classes

You can now share created class lists and handover notes with next years teachers directly from Class Creator.

Hybrid Learning? Tag students into classes

You can use tags to place students in specific classes (this can include 'remote learning' vs 'on campus'). This is a very flexible tool that can be used by schools in a variety of ways. You can find out more information here.

Assign students to a class based on one of their Tags.

Thank YOU

We want to say a big “Thank You” to everyone that completed our 2020 user feedback survey. Your ideas are what have led to the above developments. Since we launched in 2015, user feedback has been the driving force behind Class Creator and has allowed our small company to become a world-leader in student placement.

We also really appreciate your lovely comments about our support. We try hard to support our schools and your comments certainly make us feel appreciated. As a small team (Tim, Corinne & Karl) we are very proud to feel connected to our schools. Thank you.
