School administrators can customize surveys to suit the needs of their school.
Survey Options:
Close Surveys: If you wish to close teachers access to the surveys.
Disable Separation/Pairings for Teachers: If you wish to stop teachers having access to the Student-Student Separation/Pairing section of the survey. Admins will still have access. Admins are the only ones to have access to Teacher-Student Separations/Pairings.
If you allow teachers to access Separations/Pairings please remind teachers to only use them for the most essential situations or placements become mathematically impossible and classes become unbalanced.
Student Preferences: Select the number of Preferences (student friendships) you wish your teachers to be able to select. If you select preferences please encourage your teachers to complete them all for every student.
Survey Order: You can change the order in which the tabs appear at the top of the survey page by dragging and dropping the labels here.
Surveys
Rename the Headers, Labels, and Rubric to meet the needs of your school.
If you adjust these labels please make sure you keep the order the same, highest to lowest. The Class Creator algorithm uses the data in the order below to generate classes.
Behavior: Very Good to Very Challenging
Academic/English & Mathematics: Well Above-Level to Well Below-Level
Special Education: None to Lots of Extra Support
ESL/ESOL/EAL/ELL: None to Beginner: High Support
You can also "Hide" survey column by clicking the checkbox beside it.
Type of Academic Survey: Select General Academic, English & Mathematics, or Reading, Writing & Mathematics surveys from the down menu at "Academic Surveys".
Academic Score: A 3 character score can be entered for all academic surveys if enabled. Use the 'Options' menu at "Academic Surveys" to enable. This score is NOT used by the algorithm to sort students.
ESL/ESOL/EAL: Enable/Disable 'English for speakers of other languages' in the survey. Use the drop down menu at "Additional Support Surveys"
Other Surveys
Hide Teacher Notes: If you do not wish teachers to be able to add student notes you can disable them. Admin notes will always be active and only accessible to administrators.
Ethnicity: Enable or Disable the collection of ethnicity data in the surveys.

Survey Tags provide schools with the flexibility to meet their priorities.
