Administrators will see the dashboard workflow at the top of their screen when they first login. This is a suggested guide on how to get the most out of Class Creator, but the system is designed to be flexible to work with your school's unique requirements. i.e. Not all schools use friendship preferences when they are collecting and verifying survey data.

The workflow will show which step of process your school is currently at.

Please note Rollover is considered step 0, as the majority of schools will not need to do this step, as Class Creator auto-archives your current year data before the start of the next year's class creation process (Unless your school has requested otherwise).

The 6 steps of Class Creation are as follows:

0. Rollover

The first step of Class Creator, you must archive your current students on the students page. Please ensure all students have an ID, without an ID, data cannot be stored.

1. Import Students & Teachers

Import your Students & Teachers using the import wizard or an integration. For returning schools, ensure your teachers are correctly allocated to their current class.

2. Configure & Send Surveys

Customize and review the survey including student tags to collect all required data for balancing classes. Configure survey options, open your surveys, then select ‘Send Surveys’ to email to staff.

3. Collect & Verify Survey Data

Once teachers have submitted their completed surveys, the survey summary screen will be updated allowing admins to review & verify data.

4. Configure Classes

Set up the required number of classes and assign teachers. Use tags to match teachers with students for the best possible fit or to create specialized classes.

5. Generate Class Lists

Use Class Creator algorithms to create next year's classes and save class lists in order to edit.

6. Refine & Finalize Classes.

Learn how to navigate through class lists, make changes to lists using tools such as Placement Helper & Lock Students, request teacher feedback and generate reports or export finalized classes.
